“What does it cost to be kind?” – CARRIE: The Musical

By Tammy Laval

In July 2017, Triple Threat Theatre Company announced that we will be presenting a musical production of Stephen King’s “Carrie” in April, 2018. As a company that openly addresses, and draws attention to the impact of social issues, they could not be prouder to present this production for Mackay & regional audiences on April 27 & 28 this year, at the CQ Conservatorium of Music.

Bullying….Anxiety….Mental Health…….these issues plague teens (and indeed, adults) throughout society, and with the advent of social media, bullies have been given a means through which they can subvertly (or in some cases, blatantly) attack and/or lie about those they are threatened by.  TTTC have always taken a stand against bullying and will continue to rise above, accompanied by an amazing team of cast members and supporters.

Following the conclusion of this production, a donation to Dolly’s Dream and Headspace Mackay will be made, along with Ray White Mackay City part-taking in this fundraiser. If any other local companies, businesses or charities would like to support this production, please contact TTC through

Tickets to “CARRIE: The Musical” can be purchased at:

Students/Conc. – $22
Adults – $30

Thankyou in advance for your support. (This production is rated 13+ due to language and adult themes).
